If you’ve owned a steel-frame set before, you’ll know what happens after a couple of wet winters. The frame starts going from the inside, then one day the rust shows and the whole thing feels tired. This 6-seater modular lounge dining set is built differently. The aluminium frame cannot rust, meaning you can leave it outside all year round with no cover needed for the frame or rattan.

The frame matters more than most people realise. Steel corrodes inside joints and bolt holes where moisture gets in and coatings can’t fully protect it, which is why so many cheaper sets last 2-3 seasons at best. Aluminium doesn’t have that problem. We use UV-stabilised synthetic rattan, not PVC rattan that turns brittle and starts cracking after a couple of summers in UV. We’re rattan furniture specialists, so we only stock sets we’d actually put in our own garden.

You get a proper dining-height table at 67cm high, which makes a real difference if you want to eat outside rather than just balance a plate near your knees. The set includes 1 dining table, 1 lounge dining sofa, 2 two-seat lounge dining chairs, 2 ottomans, and seat and back cushions. The cushions are 10cm thick, so they keep their shape far better than the 6-8cm cushions used on many lower-spec sets that feel fine for 30-40 minutes and then flatten out.

The footprint is 322cm x 213cm, so it’s worth checking your patio space before ordering. The modular layout gives you more flexibility than a fixed set too, which is handy if you like to change things around. All you need to do is store the cushions indoors when you’re not using them, then wipe the frame and rattan with a damp cloth or hose them down if they get dusty. Cushion covers can be removed and machine washed at 30°C.

The 5mm clear tempered glass top is there for a reason as well. Tempered safety glass handles British temperature swings far better than standard glass, including frosty mornings and warm afternoons.
