6 Seat Aluminium Rattan Reclining Round Dining Set 150cm

If you’ve owned a steel-frame dining set before, you’ll know what happens after a couple of wet winters. This one uses an aluminium frame, which cannot rust, so you can leave it outside all year round without messing about with a cover. That’s exactly why we stock it. We kept hearing the same complaints from customers – rust, fading weave, and sets that looked tired after two or three seasons.

The frame is wrapped in UV stabilised synthetic rattan in Stone Grey, hand woven for a tidy, even finish. Aluminium cannot rust, meaning moisture can’t eat away at the joints and bolt holes like it does on steel sets, where powder coating can’t fully protect from the inside out. Unlike PVC rattan, UV-stabilised HDPE (high-density polyethylene) synthetic rattan is made to handle British sun and frost without going brittle after a couple of summers.

You get 6 reclining chairs, a 150cm round dining table, and cushions included. The reclining backs make a real difference if you like to linger after dinner, and the round shape is easier to talk around than a long rectangular table. The table stands at 74cm high, so it’s proper dining height rather than the sort of low table that’s only any use for a mug and a biscuit. The chair dimensions are 99cm high, 61cm wide and 69cm deep.

The table top uses tempered safety glass, which copes far better with British temperature swings than standard glass. All you need to do is wipe the frame and rattan down now and then, and store the cushions indoors when not in use. The cushion covers can be removed and machine washed at 30°C. The cushions themselves are not waterproof, and they’re designed to be left dry for longer life, so popping them in a storage box when not in use is the simple way to keep them looking good.
