The aluminium frame cannot rust, meaning you can leave this corner sofa dining set outside all year round without worrying about covers for the frame. If you’ve owned a steel-frame set before, you’ll know what happens after a couple of wet winters: rust starts where you can’t see it first, inside the joints and bolt holes, and then the structure weakens from the inside.

The frame is wrapped in natural synthetic rattan made from UV-stabilised HDPE. We only stock what we’d put in our own garden, so we avoid steel-and-PVC shortcuts that cause most of the problems people ring us about. PVC rattan is cheaper, but it can crack, fade and turn brittle after a couple of summers in UV.

You get seating for 6, with a proper dining-height table at 67cm high, so this is for eating outside rather than balancing plates on a low coffee table. In the box there’s 1 x dining table, 1 x 1 arm sofa, 1 x 2 arm sofa, 2 x ottomans, plus seat and back cushions. The cushions are 10cm thick—budget sets often use 6-8cm cushions that feel fine for 30-40 minutes, then compress and flatten more quickly with regular use.

The overall footprint is 225cm x 258cm, which works well for a typical new-build patio footprint (around 3m x 3m) without turning the whole area into a full-size corner set. The table top uses 5mm clear tempered safety glass, which handles British temperature swings better than standard glass. All you need to do is store the cushions indoors when they’re not in use. If the covers need freshening up, they can be removed and machine washed at 30°C.
