Grey Aluminium Rattan 6 Seat Dining Set 150cm Table

If you’ve owned a steel-frame dining set before, you’ll know what happens after a couple of wet winters. This one uses an aluminium frame, which cannot rust, so you can leave it outside all year round without messing about with covers. It’s a straightforward 6-seater dining set built for real use in British weather, with a 150cm x 90cm table that gives you proper room to eat outside rather than just balance a mug.

The frame matters most, and that’s why we start there. Steel corrodes from the inside out through joints and bolt holes where moisture gets in, so by the time rust shows on the outside the frame is already on its way. Aluminium doesn’t have that problem. The rattan is UV-stabilised synthetic rattan—HDPE, not PVC—so it won’t crack and fade after a couple of summers in UV. PVC is cheaper up front but it degrades quickly and isn’t recyclable like HDPE.

In the box, you get 6 stacking armchairs and seat cushions included, plus 1 rectangular dining table. The tabletop is 5mm clear tempered glass. The table stands at 75cm high, which is proper dining height, and there’s a 50mm parasol hole in the middle for sunny days. Tempered safety glass handles British temperature swings better than standard glass. Because the chairs are stackable, you can store them away more easily in winter. All you need to do is store the cushions indoors when you’re not using them and give the frame or rattan a quick wipe down now and then.
