If you’ve owned a steel-frame set before, you’ll know what happens after a couple of wet winters. The frame starts going from the inside, moisture gets into the joints and bolt holes, and by the time you see rust outside it’s already weakening underneath. This 6 seater corner dining set fixes that properly with an aluminium frame that cannot rust, so you can leave it outside all year round with no cover needed.

The frame is wrapped in grey synthetic rattan, and we only choose sets built to deal with real British weather. Unlike PVC rattan used on cheaper sets, proper UV-stabilised HDPE rattan doesn’t go brittle and crack after a couple of summers in UV exposure. You get a proper dining-height table here, not a low coffee table pretending to do both jobs. The table stands 67cm high with a 5mm clear tempered glass top, which handles British temperature swings far better than standard glass.

Included in the box are 1 x dining table, 1 x 1 arm sofa, 1 x 2 arm sofa, 2 x ottomans, and seat and back cushions. The cushions are 10cm thick and, unlike budget 6-8cm cushions, they feel right for longer during regular use.

The footprint is 225cm x 258cm, so it’s a good fit for anyone who wants full corner seating without swallowing the whole patio. It’s modular, which gives you more flexibility when you’re planning the layout. All you need to do is store the cushions indoors when you’re not using them, as non-waterproof cushions are simply more comfortable and last longer than coated ones that crack in UV.
