8 Seat Aluminium Rattan Corner Dining Sofa Set Brown

If you’ve owned a steel-frame set before, you’ll know what happens after a couple of wet winters. This corner sofa set uses an aluminium frame, so it cannot rust and can be left outside all year round with no cover needed for the frame or rattan. That’s the big difference: it’s built for real British weather, not two decent summers and a trip to the tip.

The brown synthetic rattan weave is wrapped over that aluminium frame, giving you the look of rattan without the cracking and fading issues that can come with cheaper PVC versions. Steel-frame sets usually start corroding from the inside out, as moisture gets into joints and bolt holes where coatings can’t fully protect them. Aluminium doesn’t have that problem, which is why these sets are the ones we’d actually put in our own gardens and why we keep coming back to the same thing when customers ask what lasts.

You get an 8-seat layout with 1 dining table, 1 one-arm sofa, 1 two-arm sofa, 2 ottomans, plus seat and back cushions included. The cushions are 10cm thick, which matters more than most people realise — thinner 6-8cm cushions often feel fine for half an hour, then flatten. The full footprint is 225cm x 258cm, so it’s a proper family-sized corner set, and the 67cm-high table means you can actually eat outside rather than just balance a mug.

The table is topped with 5mm clear tempered safety glass, which handles British temperature swings far better than standard glass. All you need to do is store the cushions indoors when you’re not using them or over winter — they aren’t waterproof by design. Waterproof coatings can feel clammy, and the coating can crack after a couple of summers in UV. Cushion covers remove for a 30°C machine wash, and the frame and rattan just wipe clean or rinse off with the hose.
