Latte Aluminium Rattan Reclining Bistro Set for 2

If you’ve owned a steel-frame set before, you’ll know what happens after a couple of wet winters. This 2-seat bistro set is built differently. The aluminium frame cannot rust, meaning you can leave it outside all year round with no cover needed for the frame or rattan.

The aluminium frame matters because steel fails from the inside out. Moisture gets into joints and bolt holes where powder coating cannot fully protect it, so by the time rust shows on the outside the frame is already on its way. Here, the rust-free structural frame is wrapped in hand woven UV-stabilised synthetic rattan (HDPE), which is made for British weather. By contrast, PVC rattan can crack, fade and become brittle after a couple of summers in UV exposure.

What you actually get is two reclining rocking armchairs with built in footrests, plus a 60cm square side table with a tempered safety glass top. Each chair has a lever on the right arm to adjust the backrest and a second lever on the side to bring the footrest up. Stop Rock Lock is built into the frame so you can stop the rocking when you want to stay put. The full footprint is 90cm x 230cm, so you can stretch out without taking over the whole patio.

Cushions are included, but they are not waterproof — by design. Waterproof cushions can feel clammy, trap heat, and their coating tends to crack after a couple of summers in UV. Store the cushions indoors when you’re not using them, and over winter. The frame and rattan just need a wipe with a damp cloth or a rinse with the hose, and the cushion covers can be machine washed at 30°C.
