The aluminium frame is what decides whether a set lasts years or just a few seasons. Steel-frame sets usually start corroding from the inside out through joints and bolt holes, where moisture gets in long before you see rust on the surface. This one uses UV-stabilised HDPE rattan instead, so you avoid the cracking and fading you get with PVC rattan after a couple of summers in full sun.

You get 2 reclining chairs with side handles, 2 footstools, 1 coffee table, and charcoal seat and back cushions included. The back cushions are 10cm thick, which makes a difference if you’re sitting longer than half an hour, and the table is topped with 5mm clear tempered glass that handles British temperature swings better than standard glass. Chair size is L69 x W74.5 x H89cm, each footstool is W62 x D62 x H40cm, and the coffee table is 50 x 50 x 45cm.

All you need to do is store the cushions away when you’re not using them. We don’t use waterproof cushions because they feel clammy, trap heat, and the coating tends to crack after a couple of summers in UV. These are made for comfort, with removable covers you can machine wash at 30°C.
