4 Seat Aluminium Rattan Round Dining Set in Latte

The aluminium frame cannot rust, which is the first thing that matters if you’ve already had a steel set fail after a couple of wet winters. If you’d rather buy once than replace every few seasons, this 4-seat round dining set is built for that job. It’s made to live outside in British weather, with no cover needed for the frame or rattan, and a dining-height table at 75cm so you can actually sit down and eat, not just balance a mug.

We only stock rattan furniture we’d use ourselves, because we got fed up hearing the same stories about rust, cracked weave and furniture that looked tired after two summers. The aluminium frame cannot rust, meaning you can leave it outside all year round. Unlike steel-frame sets, which start corroding from the inside at joints and bolt holes long before you see rust on the surface, aluminium doesn’t have that problem. The synthetic rattan is UV-stabilised HDPE, not the cheaper PVC type that turns brittle and fades in the sun.

You get a 110cm round dining table, four stacking armchairs and seat cushions in a natural shade to match the latte rattan. The table has a 5mm clear tempered glass top, which handles British temperature swings better than standard glass, plus a 50mm parasol hole for shade on warmer days. There’s also handy under-table storage, and the full footprint is roughly 230cm x 230cm, so it’s a sensible fit for most patios without taking over the whole garden.

Care is straightforward. All you need to do is wipe the frame and rattan down with a damp cloth, or rinse with the hose if it’s been sitting through a messy spell of weather. The cushion covers can be removed and machine washed at 30°C, then air dried before putting back on. Store the cushions indoors when you’re not using them and they’ll last well; we don’t use waterproof coatings because cushions aren’t waterproof by design, they can feel clammy, and any coating tends to crack after a couple of summers in UV.
