Grey Aluminium Rattan 6 Seat Round Dining Set

If you’ve owned a steel-frame dining set before, you’ll know what happens after a couple of wet winters. This one uses an aluminium frame, and aluminium cannot rust, meaning you can leave it outside all year round with no cover needed.

The frame is wrapped in synthetic rattan, and we only choose sets like this because they deal with the usual problems properly. Steel tends to corrode from the inside out through joints and bolt holes, so by the time you see rust outside, the damage is already underway. Unlike PVC rattan on cheaper sets, this UV-stabilised HDPE rattan is made to handle sun, rain and frost without turning brittle after a couple of summers. HDPE is non-toxic and recyclable.

You’ve got 6 stacking armchairs, seat cushions included, and a round dining table topped with 8mm tempered safety glass. The table measures 150cm x 75cm, with a 75cm dining height, which is the difference between actually eating outside and just balancing a plate on a low table. Each chair measures 61cm x 57cm x 88cm, and because they stack, they’re easy to store when you want the patio clear.

All you need to do is keep the cushions indoors when they’re not in use. The cushions are not waterproof by design—they don’t rely on a coating that can feel clammy and crack after a couple of summers. With simple care, the frame and rattan just need a damp cloth or the odd rinse with a garden hose, and the cushion covers can be machine washed at 30°C. Budget sets often use thinner 6–8cm cushions that can flatten quickly; these are designed for longer-lasting comfort.
