6 Seat Aluminium Rattan Reclining Lounge Dining Set

If you’ve owned a steel-frame set before, you’ll know what happens after a couple of wet winters. This 6 seat reclining lounge set is built to avoid that problem from the start. The aluminium frame cannot rust, meaning you can leave it outside all year round with no cover needed for the frame or rattan.

That’s the big difference. Steel corrodes from the inside out, usually through joints and bolt holes where moisture gets in first. By the time you see rust on the outside, the frame’s already weakening. We only stock sets we’d put in our own garden, and that’s why this one uses an aluminium frame with UV-stabilised HDPE rattan rather than PVC rattan, which fades, cracks and goes brittle after a couple of summers in strong UV.

You get a reclining 3 seater sofa, two reclining armchairs, two stools, cushions, and a height-adjustable table. Four seats recline in total: the two outer sofa seats and both armchairs. The table adjusts from 50cm to 72cm, which matters more than people think — low for lounging, higher when you want to eat outside. It’s topped with 5mm clear tempered safety glass, so it handles British temperature swings far better than standard glass.

The cushions are 9cm thick, which gives you proper support for longer sits than the thinner 6-8cm pads often used to keep prices down. They’re not waterproof by design, because waterproof coatings feel clammy, and the coating can crack in strong sun. All you need to do is store the cushions away when you’re not using them. The covers come off for a 30°C machine wash, and the frame and rattan just wipe clean or rinse down.
