6 Seat Aluminium Rattan Corner Sofa Dining Set Grey

If you’ve owned a steel-frame set before, you’ll know what happens after a couple of wet winters. This 6-seat corner sofa dining set is built to avoid that problem properly. The aluminium frame cannot rust, meaning you can leave it outside all year round with no cover needed for the frame or rattan.

We only stock rattan furniture we’d put in our own gardens, because we got tired of hearing the same story: rusted frames, faded weave and sets that barely last 2-3 seasons. Steel usually corrodes from the inside out through joints and bolt holes, where moisture gets in long before you see the damage. This set uses an aluminium frame with UV-stabilised HDPE rattan instead, so you’re not dealing with the cracking and fading you get from cheaper PVC weave after a couple of summers.

You get a full dining-height setup too, not just a low table for balancing a mug. Most full-size corner sets need around 3m x 3m, so a standard new-build patio is typically right around this area. The set includes 1 x dining table, 1 x 3 seater 2 arm sofa, 1 x 2 seater 1 arm sofa, 2 x ottomans, plus seat and back cushions. The footprint is 245cm x 245cm, with a 70cm-high table and 10cm thick cushions.

The cushions are 10cm thick because thinner 6-8cm cushions tend to feel fine for half an hour, then flatten with regular use. Ours aren’t waterproof by design. Waterproof coatings can feel clammy and they can crack in UV over time, so the simpler option is to just store the cushions when you’re not using them, or indoors over winter.
